Open Meeting 7 pm Tuesday 16 October 2018 There will be an open meeting held by Guernsey Private Residential Landlords Association (GPRLA) at Guernsey Yacht Club, Castle Emplacement, St Peter Port on Tuesday 16 October 2018, commencing at 7 pm. Our guest speaker will be a representative from the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC). They will be talking about the new Guernsey Data Protection Law which came into effect in May 2018 to bring Guernsey in line with GDPR (The European General Data Protection Regulation), from a Landlord’s perspective. This will be followed by a question & answer session.
Recently GPRLA Chairman, Jeff Guilbert, has given media interviews on this topic, and there have been various reports in the Guernsey Press and other media. This situation could affect landlords, tenants, and people whose home is managed by Sarnia Estates property management section.
